2003 ORCHID SHOW AND SALE

“Freedom of Orchids”

The Sarasota Orchid Society held its 47th Annual Orchid Show and Sale, featuring Florida-based growers showcasing thousands of award-winning orchids, on October 18th and 19th. Show hours were Saturday, October 18th 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 19th 10:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. This year’s show was held at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, 801 North Tamiami Trail, in Sarasota. The exhibit displays will reflected the show theme, “Freedom of Orchids” using thousands of orchids hanging and cascading throughout the exhibition hall in every size and color imaginable.

Participating vendors at the Annual Orchid Show & Sale were: D & B Orchids, Odem Orchids, Tom Ritter Orchids, Tropic 1 Orchids, Katzi Exotic Blooms, Orchids Etcetera, Art Stone Orchids, EFG Orchids, Byrd's Orchids, Miller’s Tropicals, Tropiflora, Krull-Smith Orchids, and Quest Orchids. Additional displays will be provided by: K-Pro Greenhouses, Images in Glass, American Orchid Society, Selby Garden Book Store, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Hicks Orchid Supplies, and Nature on the Rocks.
